Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using UNTRAP ("we", "our", "us") at untrap.link, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

UNTRAP provides smart link redirection services, including:

  • Custom URL slugs and short links
  • Geographic routing to region-specific destination URLs
  • In-app browser detection and native app redirection
  • AI agent and search crawler metadata optimization
  • Click analytics
  • Custom domain support

3. Accounts & Registration

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it. You must not share your login link or session with others.

We use magic link authentication - no passwords are stored. Login links expire after 15 minutes.

4. Credits, Billing & Payments

4.1 Prepaid Credits

UNTRAP operates on a prepaid credit model. You purchase click credits which are deducted as your links are used. There are no recurring subscription fees.

4.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store or handle credit card details. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.

4.3 Credit Expiration

Purchased credits do not expire and remain in your account until used.

4.4 Auto Top-Up

If enabled, auto top-up will automatically purchase additional credits when your balance falls below your configured threshold. You may set a monthly cap. Auto top-up can be disabled at any time in your settings.

4.5 Custom Domain

Custom domain setup is a one-time, non-refundable fee of $29 USD. This fee covers domain configuration and verification on our infrastructure. DNS changes required for custom domains are your responsibility.

4.6 Refunds

All credit purchases and custom domain fees are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law.

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use UNTRAP to:

  • Distribute malware, phishing links, or malicious content
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
  • Send spam or unsolicited bulk communications
  • Create links that redirect to illegal or harmful content

We actively scan destination URLs using Google Web Risk API and reserve the right to remove links and suspend accounts that violate these terms.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use UNTRAP responsibly and in accordance with all applicable laws. We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against any suspected misuse, including account suspension or termination.

7. Intellectual Property

The UNTRAP service, including its software, branding, and design, is our intellectual property. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UNTRAP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Prepaid credits are forfeited upon termination for cause.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
